"We are close folks, so many deals, can't get them all done because so many foreigners want our stuff. We'll give them six more months." This just goes on for four more years.
Yes, additional tariff delays could go on for four years. But if the goal is to get companies to invest in the US, few will make the $ commitment as long as the tariff policy is so fluid. It's hard to see more than a propaganda win for Trump and very hard to see any win for US consumers and businesses.
