An old saying was if the USA sneezes the ROW catches a cold. Maybe it needs to be changed to have a covid reference instead but whatever things from now on will be determined by the choice of policy of central banks especially the Federal Reserve.
One small note regarding the National Financial Conditions Index, which I'm sure you know already, but a lot of readers probably don't: it gets a pretty heavy adjustment of previous values going back several months with each new print. So what we're looking at now as its current value is going to be totally different in a few weeks/months. That being said: I still think it's a great indicator and I like looking at it, it's just very inaccurate in the present.
